Braulio got his brown belt from Zé, but his black belt was awarded by Carlinhos Gracie. This much is stated on his official website. Though Gracie Barra often do that, sometimes they have the coach that actually teaches the fighters in different affiliates of Gracie Barra, but the black belt is approved and awarded by Carlinhos (the head Master).
